Locking cam pulleys - DeeTurbo - 20-06-2016

Hi,

How do you lock the cam pulleys to undo the bolt?

I've heard some horror stories of people breaking the timing location lugs and I've seen Cully's super pulley clamps, which I'd like to replicate.

What do the rest do?

Hold it with my hand and put my makita on the bolt Wink

I use Cully's super pulley clamps
easy to make from plywood and a bolt cut the shape out with a jigsaw Wink

You should copyright those...with that name as well lol.

I bought a generic cam locking tool from ebay to do mine...but didn't have the balls to attempt it lol. Fez has a chain and Focus only has a belt around one cam so I'm not likely to try them any time soon either.

Yeah definitely!

Do you have a link to the ones you bought Tom?

you shouldn't use timing tools to hold them when loosening the bolt, use a cam pulley holdng tool

What sort do you use?

I'm sort of feeling the same. I'm a bit nervous of doing it but I'm more then capable but I'm lacking confidence at the moment. I keep trying to find guide and information on it.
