Hdi head bolts - Paul_13 - 02-06-2016

I've just been to 4 different motor factors and they all seem head bolts without the washers

Elring ones are wrong

Any body come across this before?

The one on the left is the one I removed, the one on the right without the washer is the new one and the same as the ones from all the motor factors.

Surely they're not right!

We get this a lot at work the ones on the right will work fine but damage the ally on the head ever so slightly. A lot of aftermarket stuff does this now adays as it saves money on production. At least thing is what im told.
I find cv boot grease on the "washer" surface limits the amount of damge to most of the time nothing

Big thanks to Powerandtorque for looking on service box, but the head bolts have been superceded (sp?) to the newer type
