Ford Puma 1.7 Thoughts/Experiences - MY95 - 29-05-2016 Looking at a 1.7 123bhp Puma, rated very highly and Clarkson loved it, looking to have it as a 2nd car and take it on a few track days, they as reliable, cheap to run (40mpg possible) and fun/nippy as they are said to be? Clarkson even said they are a match for a 106 GTI! Cheers RE: Ford Puma 1.7 Thoughts/Experiences - Dum-Dum - 29-05-2016 Rusts like a Ford, Yamaha developed the engine. Basically the puma is to the fiesta what the tigra is to the corsa although that shape of fiesta wasn't a bad hot hatch. RE: Ford Puma 1.7 Thoughts/Experiences - Piggy - 29-05-2016 Epic car. Epic engine. Can be had for £200-300 IF you can find a rust/rot free one. RE: Ford Puma 1.7 Thoughts/Experiences - MY95 - 29-05-2016 Thanks Dum Dum, knew they rusted quite badly at the arches and the engine was developed with Yamaha, supposed to be a revvy peach of an engine! As quick as a stage 1 HDI to 60 or very slightly quicker (low 8 seconds). RE: Ford Puma 1.7 Thoughts/Experiences - 1616six - 29-05-2016 Yep they're great, handle awesome & cost peanuts. Puma Racing <3 Not something I'd buy personally but bang for buck they're fantastic if not rotten. RE: Ford Puma 1.7 Thoughts/Experiences - Piggy - 29-05-2016 If I had a few hundred and wanted a decent cheap fun fwd/track car... It be high on my lisy |
