Any ideas fellas? Thought it was the wiper motor at first, swapped it for the one off the gti and same problem. Intermittent mode they park properly between sweeps, full on or fastest they stop dead when you turn them off instead of returning to where they should be.

Its normally either motor or relay.

Which is the relay for them? Motor is fine, was a known working one I replaced it with

I THINK it's the purple ones but I'm not 100%
Are you sure the motors ok? If its been sitting it might of still got water logged.
For the sake of quickly unbolting it, might be worth taking the cover off and cleaning the contacts up.

Yeah definitely sure it's ok, knew of the wiper issues before I got the shell off Gav so it was taken off the gti and stored in the garage. The motor originally on the estate was doing the same thing so i'm 100% it's not the motor.

Relays under steering wheel aye?

Yep there the ones. I'm not sure if there both for the wipers but they both do the same thing so could just try swapping them over.

Will have a look tomorrow then. Any ideas on my headlight issues in the other thread?
