First car was a 106 1.5D Zest 3 £350 but needed an exhaust and brakes doing Think insurance was around £700 while on provisional then shot up to double that once I passed. I may or may not have been the main driver RE: Your First car - ozonehostile - 29-04-2016 Passed in 2010 Technically my first car I had legally on the road was a ph1 306 nad but it literally lasted 20 miles on the way home before it threw a rod returned to the seller who was nice enough to give my money back My first car that lasted more than a day was a Peugeot 405 turboD estate in cherry red, paid £500 for it off an old chap who only used it to tow his motorbikes around. Genuinely one of the tidiest I've seen until I put it through a metal fence about a year later Insurance was about £1500 iirc but that was worth it with how useful it was having a huge estate car when all my mates had 106s and that type of thing lol RE: Your First car - Poodle - 29-04-2016 Ruan, that doesn't count for anything, i can still leave fooby in the nad. Passed test: July 2010 First car: P-reg Renault Scenic, which was quickly foisted onto the mother in law and i bought a 306 HDi Price: Was given the scenic by my grandma lol, 306 was £1,150 Insurance: About a £1200 iirc, although i'd already got two accidents on my record by that point.
