I dont understand what hes used to pop the lock? The old soldenoid doesn't work on a motor, so how has he got it to pop on the switch :S

You swap the wires to the plug so it works off the wiper wiring so when you turn the rear wiper on (that most people remove) it will pop the boot.
If your ever down this way ill do it for you for a few quid.
