Steels wheels with almost new tires - Craig-o - 10-05-2012

I'm picking two wheels up later and didn't realise they were the incorrect size....balls. They are 14" steel wheels with the tires....specs are:

14" steel - 4x108 - 185/65/14 size with almost new tread
14" steel - 4x108 - 185/60/14 size with again almost new tread

These are Ford fitment but I'm assuming these will fit the pugs too as they are 4x108.

Bought them for the Fiesta but didn't realise the Fiesta is 175/60/14 (grr)....planned to keep one as a spare and sell the other but wheels are both wider than the ones on the car...and also different profiles (which I knew about anyway but I only intended to keep the 60 profile as a spare and sell the 65).

Looking for £20ono each which is the wheel and tire....probably cost you about £30 just for the tire normally so ideal if you need a spare.

Cheers

175 to 185 is nothing, you wouldnt even notice the difference?!

You think? I wasn't sure to be honest, always been told to use the same size wheels, I know the profiles would obviously make a difference and figured the widths may do too.....but maybe I'm wrong lol

Yeah seriously, id deffo use the 185/60's. Id probably use the 185/65's too tbf, they are only 9mm taller sidewall, again not much, but probably enough to notice when you're walking up to a car.

Hmm....may keep the 60 profile then. The tires are fine on the car but just cheaper to buy these than to just get a new tire so couldn't resist ha....planning ahead see! Wouldn't fancy using the 65 profile though just incase, only as an emergency wheel maybe.
