Ive been looking online also in scrap yards but noticed something diffrent on my 306 hdi to others. There a fuel reg vac of some sort. But I dont see them on other 306 hdi?

So I dont know why its there and not just a pipe like others?

not original fitment someone has added that the original pipework is all hard plastic on the low pressure side

ah......!
they did fit these to stop resonance in the fuel supply line from the tank
some HDI's suffered from buzzing fuel lines

Yep, it's the anti buzz thing that the dealerships used to use when people complained their HDis used to make an irritating buzzing noise.

Yeah it dampens the fuel line.

Almost all HDi do this when you turn them on, but some are really bad.

I was certain later cars had a redesigned fuel line system with a more elegant implementation of it, and this was a retrofit option.
