Thats good then as ive just bought one. I know theyre a little lower as well but i only have gti6 shocks and springs on front. You reckon theyll be ok??
Pa not fitting cheap lowerin springs ever again cant afford decent ones either at this time

try 322, stock for 20mm bars is 330, 322 on 20mm bars gives a 25mm drop roughly.
can't remember what they were set to from the factory, i'd start there and move it about 8mm.

yup, standard centre to centre measurement as used by psa.
definitely worth pulling it apart, they are damn old by now, even the youngest, and quite unlikely to have been rebuilt properly, not expensive to do especially if you have access to a press.

Hmm ill check it, hopefully needs bare minimum as my budget is fast running out. Got a spare gti beam to rebuild as well at some point i have a press

Don't the xsara ones have thicker tbs too? Or is that just the vts?

Xsara VTS beams have 21mm torsion bars. Lesser spec Xsara's don't though, even estate models.

Yep, got one on mine along with Xsara front end too inc. front ARB. Great upgrade and will quite happily cock a wheel in the air under hard cornering.
Only thing I had to do was ditch the load compensator off the VTS beam and swap a bracket or two from the old beam for the brakelines.
VTS beams have thicker TBs, ARB and slightly increased toe on the arms. I think I set it at 320 between shock bolts for a 25mm drop.

No, same at 21mm but bigger than a standard 19mm HDi one.

Dturbo spec HDi has the '6 setup, so 21mm arb on the front and 24 on the rear with the 20mm Torsion bars, the VTS is a 24mm torsion bar, on the rear. same as the GTi-6

Depends on the age of VTS. Earlier ones have a 24mm rear ARB (which is what I assume you mean) but later ones are 23mm.
