1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Ben_w - 11-12-2015 Guys, Time for me to sell this one. 99,200 miles, some service history, book is stamped up to 90k, 11 months MOT. V5 present and in my name. Picked it up earlier this year with it needing some work. Plan initally was to either strip or track it but iit turned out to be too good for that. It also turned out it needed a bit more work than the seller let on.... The details are all in my project thread which can be found Here... So, in no particular order, its had.... Replacement engine from my other Rallye after the one in it dropped its bottom end. Mileage unknown on this engine but it runs very very well, smooth and quiet. Cambelt done 18months ago and its done less than 5k since. Replacement rear beam at standard ride height from Carl Grimsley All the welding work required is done, sill and the areas around the front chassis legs. Old rot cut out and new metal welded in Replacement front to rear brake pipes Two of the brake pipes on the rear beam replaced Replacement drivers side front caliper Replacement rear caliper New handbrake cables New front pads New front brake hoses New brake fluid Replacement radiator New spare wheel hook as the old one was seized solid New bulbs where needed and wiper blades all round It passed its MOT in November and had MOT until 5th November 2016. Running standard size tyres (195/55/15 ) all round. Front suspension is lowered but I have the standard shocks and springs to go back on. Other than a cone filter and different stereo, the car is completely standard. The only work it needs is to the paint work. There is lacquer peel on the roof and told of the doors. The bonnet and front wings have also been painted poorly at some point in the past. I've not had the cash to get this sorted. In terms of faults, other than the paint, there is a crack in the drivers side corner of the rear bumper and the trip meter on the clocks resets itself when it feels like it..other than that, it drives very well, its smooth and quiet, the clutch is light and I actually don't want to sell it.....needs must though. Looking for £1500 ono. Not many of these left and of those not many in standard form. Will listen to sensible offers on it. Will get some more pictures today once it's had a good valet but for now there's these (taken before I did the work) RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - adam b - 12-12-2015 No way that beam is standard height unless you had a lot of weight in it RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Piggy - 12-12-2015 All Of The Want Good price, gwlts RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - C2K - 12-12-2015 (12-12-2015, 12:57 AM)adam b Wrote: No way that beam is standard height unless you had a lot of weight in it Pictures are from when he bought it... RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Ben_w - 12-12-2015 Adam the pics in the first thread were from the day I bought it.....before I replaced all the suspension! RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Ben_w - 14-12-2015 This is the only one I have of the interior....apologies, as I hadnt cleaned it at all. It does come up pretty clean. RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - ct-hdi - 14-12-2015 Sorry to hijack this but how much for the white gti? Looks amazing RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Nathan1305 - 14-12-2015 (14-12-2015, 05:06 PM)ct-hdi Wrote: Sorry to hijack this but how much for the white gti? Looks amazing Don't have a price for it just wanted to see if he would consider it haha RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - 7057sam - 15-12-2015 Good price Good luck with the sale mate RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Ben_w - 17-12-2015 Thanks for the comments guys. Had a bit of interest via Gumtree. Someone reckons they will have it after Christmas if I still have it then. The longer ive still got it, the more chance I'll sort the paint and the price will go up a bit....got a local painter who will blow it over for me so will try and save some cash..... RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Ben_w - 24-12-2015 £1300..... Price dropped a bit as I want to get on with my other one RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - 7057sam - 27-12-2015 Keep till the summer at that price it will sell straight away RE: 1999 306 Cherry red rallye - Ben_w - 27-12-2015 Possibly.....if it aint gone by April/may time, I'll be stripping it, charging and diffing it and its gonna be my track slag. In all honesty, the longer its with me, the more little bits I'll fix on it, I'll probably pull the engine, strip the bay and have it blasted and painted, fix the rest of the paint etc....
