Central locking keeps locking itself - Spoonaltap - 30-11-2015

My pug has developed an annoying fault, the car just keeps locking itself. Sometimes it does it as soon as you unlock it sometimes it's a few minutes. Seems to be getting more often, it developed this fault a few months ago but sorted itself but now it's back. Started doing it after I loaded some rims into my boot, lowered back seats and I think it started doing it last time after having stuff in the back as well. Checked and my locking unit isn't under the seat I don't think so maybe just a coincidence.

My keyfob doesn't working, well it does but drains batteries in a day so I unlock it with the key.

Any help would be good as it's super annoying.

Somehow you managed to post the same thread 3 times, but I've removed the duplicates for you.

You'll probably want to start by checking the state of the door looms tbh, could be a broken cable.

Thanks mate, I was trying to find the delete button myself when I realised what I'd done.

Hi

Anybody know where to find the central lockingbox on a 1999 Roland Garros Hatchback?

RE: Central locking keeps locking itself - DeeTurbo - 20-04-2016

If it's a phase 3 model it'll be part of the CPH unit under the clock. You have to remove the centre gear stick surround to get to it.

I know the Phase 1 car used to have it behind the rear seat base.
