Pulley question: xud9sd to Dw8 - JamesPT - 20-10-2015 I have a Xud9sd, with the lollipop tensioner pulley (screw, no spring)... Is it possible to update to the Dw8 spring loaded pulley? So far I can see that the PS pump and alternator are swapped between the two engines. Other negitive is, the spring loaded uses two wheels/rollers, vs the One for lollipop. Reason I ask, I run in really dirty conditions, and the lollipop ones keep going bad and are expensive to replace. Also, would automatically adjust, unlike the screw driven lollipop. The Spring loaded ones are about 1/2 the cost of the lollipops RE: Pulley question: xud9sd to Dw8 - mr_fish - 21-10-2015 I've tried using the whole DW8 aux bracket on an XUD before and the bolt holes don't line up. maybe the setup off a later 306 with the sprung loaded aux setup would work for you? RE: Pulley question: xud9sd to Dw8 - JamesPT - 22-10-2015 I've done more Searching around, and basiclly see that it requires swapping the locations of the Alternator with the PS pump, And for me thats not interesting, As I don't want my alternator so low.. The extra 8-10inch makes a difference to how many times the alternator will be submerged |
