O/F Brake line - blinkyeatu - 30-08-2015 Has anyone ever changed one because I thought I could flare it so cut it but no joy. So now I'm stuck with no brakes and looks like the only way is to take it out and make a whole new one which is ok but it's routed in the most ridiculous manner and I really can't be fudged anymore I just want my car back on the road any suggestions? RE: O/F Brake line - Toms306 - 30-08-2015 You should be able to flare it but they're steel so harder than copper. I tried joining half a rear one to save pipe, the time it took I'd have been better off replacing the whole damn thing! RE: O/F Brake line - bashbarnard - 30-08-2015 Just man up and replace the whole lot surly. For the time it takes will make your life easier in the long run for when the other bit goes as well. RE: O/F Brake line - welshpug - 30-08-2015 there's a joiner in the line near the servo if its an ABS vehicle, non abs it'll just go across to the tee piece on the bulkhead. RE: O/F Brake line - blinkyeatu - 30-08-2015 Yea but from the joiner to where it comes out by is routed right behind the engine and under the power steering lines just wandering if anyone's done it and can tell me it's actually fairly easy I wish I had done it when the engine was out |
