Power Estimate - Nathan1305 - 05-08-2015

Anyone know the rough power and torque estimates of the following.

GT2056s
11mm tuned Bosch pump
FMIC
2.5" straight through to back box

Just a rough guess is fine Smile know a few have run that turbo on here before

RE: Power Estimate - Stef205 - 05-08-2015

depends who dynos it and what dyno! if some bellend like at fcs dynos it 50bhp more than the true fiqure but then is the true fiqure true?

Wink

Fair point lol I've heard 180bhp and 300ftlb is achievable

RE: Power Estimate - Midnightclub - 06-08-2015

I think I've only seen a few dyno results with that sort of setup, but it's around 150-160hp but with fairly conservative boost

EDIT: that was a 2052s, so maybe the 56 is able to provide the flow up top a bit more for higher power

RE: Power Estimate - 1616six - 06-08-2015

wun faaaaasand bhp.

RE: Power Estimate - Matt-Rallye - 06-08-2015

My estimate:

Not as much as a gti6 Tongue

RE: Power Estimate - Piggy - 06-08-2015

Gti6 power with baggs more torque....

Till the head lifts Wink

RE: Power Estimate - Toms306 - 06-08-2015

Its not how much it makes anyway, its how it makes it... Wink

RE: Power Estimate - Eeyore - 06-08-2015

a billion. maybe more. Make sure you strap it down super tight to the dyno!

That's where those ARP's come in Wink I'm happy with anything over 160bhp to be honest Smile

It will make 160 i reckon. Probably more. Thats how it starts though. Just a bit more. Just a bit more.

Yeah that's true haha as long as it's not destroying itself every 10 minutes then I'm happy

RE: Power Estimate - Jimbo - 06-08-2015

My gt17 made just shy of 160 on a 9mm pump so i would expect a bit more with a 2056 really 170/80

RE: Power Estimate - Frosty - 06-08-2015

I would think set up well it would be around the 170 mark, should be decent torque as well. Poss more than a standard clutch would hold

RE: Power Estimate - bashbarnard - 06-08-2015

I would say defiantly more than a standard clutch could hold. Then again my gt2052 is on a 2.1 so you may be ok. Maybe.

RE: Power Estimate - Nathan1305 - 06-08-2015

Yeah to be honest the clutch is a concern of mine I'm trying to see what people use on this setup. I was looking at CG clutches but not sure what my setup would be classed as? Stage 2? Stage 3?

Power Estimate - Frosty - 06-08-2015

Don't look at there clutch by the stages they class them as. Just go for a 4 paddle unsprung or 5 paddle sprung I would suggest. Up to you if you go for the complete kit or use there friction plate and a valeo pressure plate which is the better option IMO

IIRC kyle who has my 2.1 was still running the 9mm when he dyno'd it at 180 on the GT2359V and that could eat loads more fuel.

I reckon 180 is comfortably possible.

RE: Power Estimate - Chris_90 - 06-08-2015

One way to find out and that's bolt it all on and dyno it.

I'll be turning mine up some more soon and hopefully dynoing it before it goes bang Wink but my clutch is holding fine doesn't feel like it's even close to slipping yet.

RE: Power Estimate - Danny Wideboy - 06-08-2015

My clutch is fine with a gt2052, on a maxed out 9mm.
My car weighs less than yours though.

RE: Power Estimate - Paul_13 - 06-08-2015

I was running my 205 on a 1.9 mi16 and it was fine, in a heavier car though I suspect not

RE: Power Estimate - Ruan - 07-08-2015

The most power it makes on the dyno, that's most definitely the figure it is!

RE: Power Estimate - Stef205 - 07-08-2015

get her to lean on them front roller she'll make loads! let the straps loose abit Wink
