Torx Screwdrivers - Eeyore - 13-07-2015 Hi All My dad is after a decent set of torx screwdrivers. He doesnt want a universal screwdriver with the bits he wants just plain simple screwdrivers with torx ends as apparently he always loses the bits. What is decent? Normally I buy cheapish stuff on ebay but want to make sure these are actually half decent for him. Snap on seems to be stupidly expensive. What else can i be searching for? This is the best ive found so far. Budget up to £30 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Draper-8-Piece-Tamperproof-Security-Torx-TRX-Star-Screwdriver-Driver-Set-Hole-/400843280341?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5d541f0fd5 RE: Torx Screwdrivers - 1616six - 13-07-2015 I've had those for years & never had a problem. I do wish I'd got the T handle ones though as sometimes you can't get enough leverage with just a screwdriver handle. I have also got a really cheap set I got from somewhere like Roys & they have a 10mm socket fitting on the end, I actually use those more as they are handy! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-Draper-8-Pce-T-Handle-Metric-TORX-TRX-TX-Key-Wrench-Set-T9-T40-Stand-33872-/371257599577?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5670ad6659 RE: Torx Screwdrivers - 306carter - 13-07-2015 I've got a set of FatMax Torx Screwdrivers. I've had them about 3 years, use them for work almost everyday. Can't really fault them, the grip is nice ect. Should be able to get them for around £20 but here's a link. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=231118450624&globalID=EBAY-GB RE: Torx Screwdrivers - toseland - 13-07-2015 halfrauds do them... they also do some nicely priced torx allen key style ones.. i have the latter, cost about £10 if i remember, and will be cheaper with trade card (which i have if you are interested) RE: Torx Screwdrivers - Connor - 13-07-2015 (13-07-2015, 09:30 AM)306carter Wrote: I've got a set of FatMax Torx Screwdrivers. Stanley fatmax is exactly what I have for the last 5/6 years RE: Torx Screwdrivers - Eeyore - 13-07-2015 Bought the fat max torx screw drivers along with a fatmax cutting knife. Sick of the shitty tiny ones we have. Also bought myself a dewalt screwdriver bit kit as my halfords ones are properly manky. Thanks for your help people! |
