New Van project - xudlingo - 07-07-2015 New 1.6hdi van hate engine already To do list Building a xud Hdi rods Bosch with 11mm Got big fmic Was going to fit td04 but from what I read kick it to late Got a gt17 saab turbo just bit bigger Straight pipe exhaust Bigger rad 307 hdi 6 speed need to make custom back mount and fit cable stick Gti6 brakes Change axle Some alloys And a good clean RE: New Van project - Damo - 07-07-2015 Nice one. Just bought some gti 6 brakes for my van. Will follow this as interested to see how it goes RE: New Van project - 7057sam - 07-07-2015 Sound interesting Looks clean from the outside RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 08-07-2015 Well looks like the van didn't want a clean my electrics going mad now lol. speedo cluster lighting up like a Christmas tree everything else on dash works and engine runs think I got something wet RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 10-07-2015 Nice new bigger steel wheels not full rust lol plus brakes will fit under And some wind deflectors RE: New Van project - bashbarnard - 11-07-2015 You have to be careful with these. Basically i think they have the economy mode when they don't detect the engine running and puts all the ecus into shutdown. Which isn't a problem for the engine ecu but the bsi that runs all the electrics on the vehicle will be. Im just saying this as I was going to build a 207 xud not that long ago instead of my estate and came across this problem. RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 11-07-2015 Already built one ecu just needs a sig from crank that also gives you a rev counter 207 xud would be different lol RE: New Van project - bashbarnard - 11-07-2015 Fair enough man. How do you get the correct signal from a 1.6 though as the signal on the dv6 is taken from the crank pully and the signal from the xud is on fly wheel. RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 11-07-2015 Just going to put my bsi/ecu from my old van with modified flywheel dw8 one Would still take in out eco mode with 1.6 ecu but rev counter would probably not work right RE: New Van project - bashbarnard - 11-07-2015 Ah I see. Well best of luck my man. RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 12-07-2015 Thanks mate Have to get this done so taking some short cuts need it on road Custom back mount made to take newer box 206 hdi but not 6 speed as still in 307 not had time to take it out. will fit later when I get time but with custom back mount will just be a straight swap Saab gt17 mocked to make sure no clearance issues adapter plate made. Got 2 questions were best to plum the water feeds for turbo also between the adapter plate should I put some sort of gasket Missing out hdi rods hope be ok lasted over 200k so far lol That exhaust not staying like that lol RE: New Van project - Jimbo - 12-07-2015 I ran a gt17 on my last xud. (Search my threads for ph3 xud) I never plumbed in the water lines and it was absolutely fine RE: New Van project - Damo - 12-07-2015 took my van up the hill at pugfest today. was interesting on all standard suspension and brakes RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 12-07-2015 (12-07-2015, 07:43 PM)Jimbo Wrote: I ran a gt17 on my last xud. Pulled 156bhp i think. Torque figure unknown as it had no rev counter for dyno operator to calibrate in. RE: New Van project - Damo - 13-07-2015 The faces of people when they saw a van going up was classic RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 13-07-2015 Can't beat a sleeper lol Some pics of work so far just cleaning and paint getting gaskets and seals tomorrow night so hoping to be in end week [img][/img][img][/img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img] RE: New Van project - darrenhalsall11 - 14-07-2015 (10-07-2015, 05:50 PM)xudlingo Wrote: Nice new bigger steel wheels not full rust lol plus brakes will fit underHay like the van RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 14-07-2015 [img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img][img][/img] Nice day today so got lots done out with the new in with the old lol Nice new bits fitted to engine xud engine mount not sitting right so all mounts now dw8 ones Was worried about space at back and don't know why plenty Thanks mate RE: New Van project - xudlingo - 15-07-2015 All dw8 month now on and in the bay no nasty noises from mounts this time.
