Afternoon all,
I've decided to become one of those work place guys who takes part in the charity events... or at least this one. I'll be taking part in a dragon boat race down at Salford quay/media city in case anyone wants to watch me pretend to row
The charity this event is going to help is the Bury Hospice , so while it might not be a national charity you can rest easy at night knowing you've done your bit to help keep a place open that helps those go through a very traumatic time If anyone has a spare 5'er or so in their paypal that they wouldn't miss I'd appreciate it so I can pass it onto the Bury hospice.
I'll be putting some of my own money into the pot too as I'm not like those dicks that sing band aid and claim their time is what they're giving rather than actual money
Edit: To give an incentive to you folks and so I can raise more for the charity/out do the manager who keeps calling me "boy racer" I decided to add some kickstarter like prizes for example
£30 from the club members will get two crates of beer/ciddeerrr at FCS or Pugfest for those who donate to have at
£50 will also include some buns/burgers with the beer, if i can find a fesible way of keeping the meat cool I'll get it from the local market otherwise it'll be high end supermarket gear
and the grand prize of £100 will feature me chasing a naked dumdum up the hill climb run (we all know he will) in the buff with nothing more than a wooden spoon and a pack of "i can't believe it's not butter"
