Wishbone bushes? - 306 d turbo - 25-04-2012

Should i go for genuine ball joints, front wishbone bushes and p bushes?

I have gt some QH ball joints and they come with the bolts with hex head, and not the horrific Torx bolts used by peugeout!

For 1 Ball joint:

Peugeot=£50

Motor Factors=£10 with nuts bolts and washers

Are the peugeout items really 5x better?
Is it worth paying 5x more?

Advice and opinions please

Regards

No they're not 5x better lol just the same really

Best of getting meyle HD bushes though

Re: Wishbone bushes? - samass - 26-04-2012

ball joints are the same, but as 4way said, get better bushes. tho the meyle hd ones aren't the cheapest by any stretch. i know the gsf ones are a bit pants, ive replaced mine twice in less than a year (<10k) and it feels like ill need to be doing them again.
ive heard good things about delphi too

A pair of Meyle HD wishbones inc. all bushes etc. are around £120. I've only had mine on a short while, but I rate them. Pompey mark has had his on ages iirc.

Well worth the money imo; buy cheap, buy twice....

or in my case, thrice Sad

atleast i didnt actually buy the second or third set, exchanged on warranty. still tho. gunna save and get some HD ones

Where can you get the HD ones from?

Re: Wishbone bushes? - Ed Doe - 26-04-2012

^^ Speak to Krisb.

I gave meyle a ring (theyre only down the road from work) but they only deal with trade or factors, not individuals, so I spoke to Kris, and the prices are good so I snapped em up Smile

Re: Wishbone bushes? - ginge191 - 26-04-2012

@kingy, pretty sure, yeh

Re: Wishbone bushes? - KrisB - 26-04-2012

Not being funny guys... I don't mind supplying them but these things have delays and delays, then the delay of me posting. They have to come from Germany whenever I want them, never any in the country.

Re: Wishbone bushes? - Ed Doe - 26-04-2012

I was really happy mate, never had a problem, we just kept in touch about em and you let me know when they were in Smile

Re: Wishbone bushes? - Atterz - 26-04-2012

As above the Meyle (sp) items seem like great stuff. But i dont agree with all balljoints are the same. Cheap balljoints are shite and it is well worth the extra cash for some decent ones. Genuine Pug is obviously the best but the same brand can be bought elsewhere without Pug tax. Afaik Lemforder supply the OE parts and i would go for them!

Re: Wishbone bushes? - Niall - 26-04-2012

I'm considering some powerflex bushes for my wishbones. Anyone used these before?

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Tom - 22-01-2013

Had a search and bumping an old thread...... I would like to know if anyones using the powerflex ones and what they think?? :p

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Just Sean - 22-01-2013

I should hope so at the 155 a set!

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Just Sean - 22-01-2013

Ah. i read eds post wrong!

Thought it was too cheap for 2 wishbones and all the bushes for £120. they mustve gone up in price though.

Wonder if kris can sort a group buy

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Tom - 22-01-2013

You can get power flex bushes for 100quid though :/ or you can buy a cheap set of bushes and fill them with tiger seal lol

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Just Sean - 22-01-2013

But if thats a new wishbone. plus the 2 bushes its quite cheap. peugeot want bout 100 quid for 1 side!!

And everyone highly rates by all accounts so really its a bargain... specially as it comes with a 4 year warrenty!

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Niall - 22-01-2013

Meyle's come with all bushes and ball joints ready to fit straight on. And they are still worth £155 i reckon. I would recommend them to anyone all day long! Just lucky i got mine for £120 Tongue

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Tom - 22-01-2013

I suppose its what people from there set up :/

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Poodle - 23-01-2013

Powerflex bushes feel sweet on mine, haven't done more then 1000 miles yet so can't really comment on longevity. With regards to oem items, I dont see the problem in paying extra for them. When I drove fooby's car it was on original bushes, yet they felt better than the month-old motor factor jobbies on mine... As ever, you get what you pay for.

RE: Wishbone bushes? - Tom - 25-01-2013

Says "Top Rated Seller" I dont see why they wouldnt be personally, the price is about right.
