Hesitation at 3k - Paul_13 - 01-05-2015

I know this is the change over in the injectors from pre ignition, but it's quite a pronounced hesitation/lack of power for a split second and feels like it almost wants to cut out.

Is it just a case of knackered injectors or something else that's at fault ? FPR is reading as it should on PP2K

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Poodle - 02-05-2015

Sounds a bit odd, certainly not normal, no idea what could cause it though.

RE: Hesitation at 3k - JTaylor2005 - 02-05-2015

Opposite of VTEC???

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Piggy - 02-05-2015

have you not just had astg2 remap fella??

not a coincidence?!

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Paul_13 - 02-05-2015

Yes, but it's been there all along

Nothing to do with the map.

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Uberderv - 02-05-2015

Can you check fuel pressure on pp2k, actual against requested?

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Paul_13 - 02-05-2015

Yep, seems to be good

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Poodle - 02-05-2015

All the air doser and egr stuff removed?

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Paul_13 - 02-05-2015

Yep egr blanked and removed from map.
All alloy inlet elbow so no air doser

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Toms306 - 02-05-2015

Is it anything to do with the 3rd piston in the pump? Can't remember when that usually cuts.

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Paul_13 - 02-05-2015

Ah yes, sorry this is my memory failing me. You're right, mine was being a pain and playing up

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Poodle - 02-05-2015

Unplugged?

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Paul_13 - 02-05-2015

It's unplugged now about to take it for a drive

Still there, not as pronounced

I think there's an issue with the pump. I'm going to stick the r70 on and the 1800 bar sensor

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Uberderv - 02-05-2015

You can just Wang the pump on first. Once the sensor goes on I think the map has to be calibrated to match its new output.

RE: Hesitation at 3k - Poodle - 02-05-2015

Indeed, two of the wires on the sensor need swapping too.
