c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Poodle - 20-04-2015 So does anyone know exactly what bolts are required for these? Citroen seem to be a bit shit at understanding that i want wheel bolts, or even that the wheels in question exist, so i'm hoping someone on here can tell me something useful. Part numbers would be amazing, even just the correct seat angle would be good, what do you know? RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - welshpug - 20-04-2015 easy, look on servicebox for phase1 c5, look under "steel wheels" look at bolts listed with conical seat spanner diameter 17. 5405 72 RP 16 087 344 80 12X125 CONICAL SURFACE / SPANNER DIAM 17 cross references to FEBI 30400, looks like a loose taper but not a hollow head like o.e. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4-x-M12-x-1-25-OEM-Wheel-Bolts-for-Citroen-Steel-Wheels-Taper-Seat-5405-72-/161672682587 those came up for the o.e part number. RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Piggy - 20-04-2015 I found some on ebay by just random word searching the sort of bolt it was! RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Poodle - 20-04-2015 Brilliant, thanks welshpug! Edit: so the people insisting they use a different taper are in fact just full of shit... Well that's wasted months then, spiffing. Useless wasters. RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - welshpug - 20-04-2015 Its not a different taper, its just a spinning taper so the bolt doesn't wear the alloy away. RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Piggy - 20-04-2015 What he said ^^^ RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Poodle - 20-04-2015 Yeah thanks, can see that lol. Was just generally bemoaning other peoples' insistence on talking a whole load of shite when they actually know jack, nothing new or interesting. RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Jimbo - 20-04-2015 Whats the difference as loads of alloys use a standard taper type bolt, is the alloy softer on these or?? RE: c5 steel/alloy wheel bolts - Poodle - 20-04-2015 I guess it must be, they're known for cracking. |
