Still in trouble with Timing. - locodriver 65 - 10-03-2015

Hi Guys,
I would like to ask some one with greater knowledge than myself to help me with this problem.
My 306 estate which I have owned for about 10 years is suffering with engine timing.
The rev counter drops to Zero and the engine light comes on, this happens after about 30 seconds of starting the engine.
My local garage have got the engine to run Ok by altering the timing mechanically its a bit noisy when first started but its OK when warm.
Most people have said its the crankshaft sensor which controls the rev counter, I have fitted a new one today and still have the same problem. I would like to get the engine running as it should, the car is good apart from this, no rust and to good to scrap or sell for peanuts.

Regards

Paul
