front wiper motor - gazthegnome - 10-03-2015

is there any difference between motors from earlier car to the later cars ? got a second had one when mine packed up was shown it working but when i fitted it its only worked on two setting like my old one did and if you cancelled the wiper it would just stop were ever it was in the sweep.

again I'm no guru on these cars....but..........look at the stalk switch as there may be a problem there.........

the wiper motor, which drives the round gear inside the motor housing, which eventually works the wipers....has a central contact which may be earthed to allow self parking.....or does it need power to central park......?

I have gleaned from here that sometimes the central contact needs cleaning,,,,,,,?
