I've heard of silent coat being decent on a budget

And cloud 9 for general sound deadening against road noise etc

Dynamat.. by far, can get some decent deals on ebay for the proper stuff.

It's black not silver now, be aware of rubbish copies.

If you have a look in my project thread I used silent coat to weight the panels to deaden them and then for insulating material I used novostrat gold which is laminate flooring underlay. It is rated to the same db reduction as silent coat (although these ratings might be dubious anyway), it is also very light and was about 22 pounds on ebay for a giant roll that will probably do 2 cars.

Also it is gold and shiny.

Silent coat or dynamat. Theyre the same as far as i know. The more you buy the cheaper it gets. best to buy a big pack and split it with a mate.

Have read of people using roof flashing tape as it's a sticky weighty material that will act in a similar way to the silent coat etc by adding mass to the panel to dampen it down. However some have said while it does work you need twice the amount to get the same effect therefore quite weighty
also advised to use the butyl version not bitumen as it smells

Or strip out the interior, wear noise cancelling headphones and stop worrying about it Big Grin
