My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 14-02-2015

Right guys. Running my c2 GT BBS wheels on the Astor at the moment.

Really nice wheels etc but want rid of the Citroen centre caps. They're solid wheels like cyclones although the Citroen cap is deceiving. Would it be badly advised to bore out the metal of the wheel to fit a centre cap? I don't want to ruin the rigidity of the wheel, or peel the current one and shave down the ones I've bought in replacement and glue on? Many thanks.

I'm fairly sure that there's been a few cyclones done with centre caps in the past. Can't see any reason not to bore it out, as long as it was done in a lathe so as to ensure it was perfectly central. TBH if it's just aesthetics I'd be gluing the pug ones on Big Grin

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 14-02-2015

I'd like them to be bored out really the outer hole would be perfect to start at a guide downwards and I'd have it done professionally anywho. But then the easiest way would be to glue the caps on [emoji23]

If you'd be having it done professionally, drash on and bore them out tbh..

RE: My wheels decision. - 1616six - 14-02-2015

Don't you get more scene points for having another car make wheels?

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 14-02-2015

M9, adapters for Porsche wheels.

RE: My wheels decision. - Matt - 20-02-2015

I'd probably just stick them on tbh

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 20-02-2015

Think I will tbh a lot of hassle

RE: My wheels decision. - 1616six - 20-02-2015

Just put Citroen badges on the car?

RE: My wheels decision. - Toms306 - 22-02-2015

I really don't understand why they'd take a nice smooth solid centred wheel and ruin it with a fake centre cap....wtf is going on there!? Confused

That's what I thought. Either make it with the center bore with a cap or just smoothed. I didn't realise until I came to fit new caps (I really should have checked it earlier than that)

RE: My wheels decision. - Toms306 - 22-02-2015

Exactly! And its a fair assumption to make lol, I wouldn't have checked either.

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 24-02-2015

Oh well I'm gonna find a way to make it work :') already have the 60mm caps off the 2008

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 08-03-2015

Moved

RE: My wheels decision. - puglove - 08-03-2015

Personaly id just grind it down and get some vortex badges to stick over the top. Then at the same you could fill/weld the awfull dimples in on the spokes Tongue

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 11-03-2015

I've already got badges to go on, but I get what you mean with the stick on lions. Aha no love for my dimples bro? Wink I think it adds a bit of texture.

RE: My wheels decision. - puglove - 11-03-2015

No iv never been a lover of the dimples lol. Its just a really strange feture on a wheel :/

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 11-03-2015

That's fair enough buddy I can see how it's not for everyone.

RE: My wheels decision. - Piggy - 11-03-2015

Hi Rob,

My center cap (circle flat with peugeot logo) was stolen. Is there a place online where I can buy?

Thank you

Do you know if those wheels are original Peugeot? And if so what car those wheels are originally from?

My wheels decision. - baabullah - 25-03-2015

Hi Rob,

I am not sure if I understand your questions [emoji5]

I am also not sure if the wheels are original. I bought it from second owner. The wheels might be switched and changed.

Anyway, it is so weird loosing that flat circle [emoji29]

Thanks

My wheels decision. - Razorback_Rob - 26-03-2015

I don't know what wheels those are myself. I think they're 206 for some reason. Not certain though. All I can suggest is measure the caps diameter and let me know what they are.
