What's involved in putting a 1.9td engine out of a ph2 into a 1.9td ph1. Is it just simple plug and as or does something on the fuel pump have to be swapped over. Something to do with the immobiliser in the key. Thanks in advance

Engine looms will just plug in down on the nearside front chassis

Will I have to swap anything though or will it start straight up. What about the chip thing on the pump?

Its not just a straight swap, water pipes etc all route different, all aux belt setup will need changing over aswell as they are different, along with power steering pump being in a different place. Actuall engine is ok, its just bits attached to it lol

I've got a whole car. Just didn't know if you would have to do anything with the immobiliser side of the electrics

If the ph1 has a Bosch you don't need the immob from the ph2...

You will have to use the loom off the ph1.
Done this swap before and the loom will need to be change, multi-plugs are slightly different(will fit but connectors are in diff. spots)

I'm guessing you just do away with the air con aswell?
