New bosch question's - Daniel306 - 09-02-2015 I have bolted a Xud bosch pump to a 1.7 X17DTL engine from a astra. The pump I used has been sitting in my shed for about 2 years, the orignal bosch pump on the astra engine is fly by wire and the body is a strange shape so I can't make one from the two The astra pully dose not have a key so I just fitted it the best I could, it's almost running but I think there is somthing else. Il get a timing gauge and set it where it should be What are the effects of a stuck vane in the pump? This won't idle and won't rev past about 3k Should I use the delivery valves from the orignal or will the xud valve's work? RE: New bosch question's - Tom - 10-02-2015 The vane pump is what feeds the pump/pressuries it, so symptoms are that of severe fuel starvation... Get a hand primer on it and pump away as you rev it up, if it runs better as you pump its probably vanes. |
