Check the basics first. Are any brakes binding?
When was it last serviced?
Is there an EML?

Brakes are not binding, i reckon it could do with service, whats eml?

Poss air mass metre. Unplug it and see what it goes like

EML is engine management light

This is my suggestion too, had been suffering from sluggish performance as well, unplugging the MAF made all the difference! lol

What should un plugging my maf result in?

If the MAF is broken, the car will be quicker with it unplugged.

I notice that you've a V plate HDi - if it's an early V then it might have the ECU that'll just put the EML on and go into limp mode if you unplug the MAF. Later V reg's and newer won't.

Or the car will be no different, this also indicates a dead maf. Otherwise as above.

DO NOT buy crappy aftermarket or second hand, IMHO it's well worth the money getting a new OE quality one..

Do a 30-70 time in 3rd gear and tell us what it is. That'll show whether there's a problem or whether it's just standard, they aren't fast/pokey/quick (whatever you want to call it) in standard form.

EDIT: Just seen your MAF's goosed, that'd do it!

Can't emphasise this enough, buy new! Siemens vdo is what you're looking for, although they're now just marked as siemens. Or possibly vdo, one or the other, can't remember lol, euros sell it, i know that much. lol

out of interest what are the 30-70 times supposed to be?

RE: hdi feels sluggish? please help - Midnightclub - 19-02-2015

Around 10-11 seconds standard and about 8-9 seconds on a stage 1 map IIRC
