Using the photo uploader - Niall - 31-01-2015

I know a few people struggle with this so thought i would do a very quick guide Wink

In either a new thread or previous one you are replying to, you need to head to the full edit page by selecting "new Reply" in the top or bottom right of each page

[attachment=21467]

Once you have done that, scroll down to the bottom and you will find a box below the editor with several rather colourful buttons in. Choose "Select File"

[attachment=21468]

You will then see a pop up box to be able to view all of the files on your device. You can choose multiple photos by using the control button on a PC or Command on a Mac. Once you have chosen your images, hit ok and it will take you back to the page you were on. Now you want to hit "upload". You may seen a blue progress bar appear (but may not depending on the speed of your internet connection and the size of files you are uploading) and then the page will refresh. You will then see under the buttons, a list of files.

You now have the choice of "Delete" if you uploaded the wrong file or "Add". If you select "Add", the page will move up to the editor box and you will see something similar to this:

[attachment=21470]

Thats it! You can move that text around in the editor to move your photos between text and the text will be automatically inserted when you hit "Add" wherever the cursor last was.

Dont forget, you can also upload other files such as PDFs but please bear in mind copyright and if you are allowed to use any media you are uploading
If you get an error, it could be that you are uploading a file too big. There is a size limit on every type of file uploaded and we have adjusted these to take into account as many files as possible but if theres something you are trying to upload and can't but you feel it would be particularly beneficial to the forum, please let a Admin member know Smile

Also, please try and upload onto the forum rather than external hosts such as photo bucket. External hosts usually end up in dead links after a few years making things like guides pretty pointless and 99% of the time, this forum is quicker to load than sites like photo bucket.

Cheers for this
