Td04 hybrid help - Cbray2003 - 26-01-2015

Hi all just wondering what's needed to make a hybrid td04 turbo and is it a difficult job any pics or quide would be helpful and a list of bits needed I already have a td04 so what else thanks

Just use a flap wheel on a drill m8

Why do you want to hybrid, out of interest?

It's actual on an off roader we made up and could do with abit more out of the turbo and thought seems there a lot of people use td04 on there d turbo so just thought would ask

Just grab a GT1752 - much better out of the box than any TD04 Smile


The second you even *loosen* the compressor nut, it'll need rebalancing - and no company will touch a turbo they haven't rebuilt themselves. On small turbos like this, there's no way around it - you can't "keep the balance" by just marking them up with a felt tip.. it doesn't work that way.
