Stef's beam builds - Stef205 - 22-01-2015 Hi all, Id thought id offer the members on here my budgeted beam builds. These will work on the basis of a supplied beam, they will be stripped, inspected, then rebuilt with new parts. This will include new bearings, seals, trailing arm shafts, arb bushes and seals. The tubes will be well greased with lithium grease as this does not eat into seals like general grease. They will have a quick de rust of any flaking material then painted in black paint. I can lower it to a required height other wise i will build it to the height it was received at. I will be doing this at £220 Im purely offering this as i know some people do not want to spend big and this purely gives a choice. This will be available on drum and disc 306/205/309 axles, other model axles please pm me. Thanks Stef RE: Stef's budget beam builds - 7057sam - 22-01-2015 How much do the courier's charge ?? RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 23-01-2015 £30 via parcel monkey using DX couriers. I used them with the last axle I sent to Scotland. RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Mattcheese31 - 23-01-2015 Is that an all in price? Just postage to yours on top or postage there and back? RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 23-01-2015 It would be postage on top for both ways. RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Dangti6 - 23-01-2015 If I supplied you a beam to refurbished and the tube was knackered, is there a cost for replacing the tube? RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 23-01-2015 Naturally I would not accept a seized beam, I would inspect the axle before its stripped. Generally I charge £40 for a good s/h tube. Also it is very hard to tell the inside condition of a tube until it is stripped. RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 01-03-2015 Providing it hasnt nackard the tube then i can do what ever you require me to do. RE: Stef's budget beam builds - WiNgNuTz - 21-03-2015 Just as a matter of curiosity, what sort of turn around time are we looking? Just wondering, as my beam is showing signs of camber, and could benefit from a refurb, but haven't got a spare to replace it with. Alternatively, would you consider some sort of exchange arrangement? RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 21-03-2015 ive a gti spec beam here minus the arb that i could do on a exchange basis if you like but would need the same spec in return. No more than a week, as i order parts as and when i need them. RE: Stef's budget beam builds - WiNgNuTz - 21-03-2015 Ok, well I don't have that kind of money to spend on a beam refurb right at the moment, but at least I know it COULD be a possibility. Might try and lay my hands on another beam to send off though rather than having to rely on you having the one I need. RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 21-03-2015 no problem, like i say ive one here i can build and swap it for yours RE: Stef's budget beam builds - Stef205 - 08-05-2015 just bumping this up for anyone thats interested. I can also offer my top rebuilds these are on a exchange basis, they are fully inspected before and after strip down, heavily de rusted and painted in oem colouring. New bearing, seals, cups, shafts, arb seals, bushes and new bolts including shock bolts. Set to your required height and well greased and copper greased used where needed. For this service i offer discount to forum members at £280 Stef RE: Stef's budget beam builds - bashbarnard - 08-05-2015 Well ill be after one end of summer I reckon.
