How much power/torque are you aiming for? Get a new decent make standard clutch and as long as driven with some sense it should hold it

RE: help would be great - pug17 - 30-12-2014

kl this is good to no i wow told it is about 125bhp the now

If you're going stage 2 a standard clutch probably won't be good enough. A couple of people have gotten away with it, but the vast majority have found it's not up to the job. Helix or Sachs paddle clutches are generally considered the best options for the money, dual-friction is supposed to be better and more drivable, but they're a fair bit more expensive.

What sort of price would I be looking at for a helix clutch for the HDI?
Sorry to Hijack but im guessing Pug17 wouldn't mind finding out either Smile and I didn't wanna make a whole new thread.

Cheers

I think the helix clutchs new are around the £450 mark

This is what looks to be a standard friction plate and uprated cover, should think it'd be more than capable of holding stage 2. I'd message the seller and ask to be sure though: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Helix-racing-clutch-kit-for-Peugeot-306-Hdi-/221646613212?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item339b2aeadc

EDIT: Paddle clutches are probably going to be best part of another £50-100 on top. There are bargains to be had second-hand if you're patient.

Ah this is what i wanted lol: http://www.performanceclutch.co.uk/p0/20ltr-hdi-turbo-1999-2001/407232.htm So about £500 with VAT.
