Rough start (misfiring) - Dturbobooost - 28-12-2014

From up too this last couple months the car started grand smooth no erratic idle etc , just all of a sudden started it , it very lumpy and smokey on first start for around five minutes but if you give it two or three quick revs on idle its fine . Tried glow plugs helped it a little but hasnr cured it , its got a small leak on filter housing which im going too fix today but im thinking its not it , would advancing the fuel pump a little take the lump and smoke away ? I can live with it but its just when your out everyone seeing it probs is thinking thats a heap engine is near done lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Smile

Leak of fuel = air ingress = poor starting ThumbsUp

mine was doing the same, I was convinced it was an air leak...until Friday 19th it just about started late at night, spluttering/farting/smoking..

next day I bunged a set of ngk heater plugs in and its all lovely again !!! then some turd smashed my mirror on xmas day while car was parked outside
