206cc 2003 stereo change - Niall - 28-12-2014
The standard CD player in the missus car has had it. We have a replacement identical but I've noticed that they are not coded. I suspect they are paired to the car with PP before I go ripping it out to replace it, does anyone know the procedure for re pairing a new stereo or if you need the cars security code?

They are coded unless it changed for the later ones? I had to code the one I had after the battery died, code was in the handbook.

Was yours CAN or not Tom? Pretty sure CAN started around the end of 02 with the 206 and it's a different stereo in the CAN ones

Hmm, it was CAN but was 02 plate so an early one.

Fair enough cheers Tom. Im positive this one is paired as I've had the battery off plenty of times and its never asked for a code. Ill break out PP later and see if its possible.

The radio is coded with the car's chassis number.
Chang-able in planet, I've done one for myself before.
