Width of rear bench? - Ben - 15-12-2014 I have been asked by an eBayer if I'd package up my Rallye seats for a courier. Front seats won't be a problem but I think the rear bench will be too wide for a pallet. Is anyone able to measure a bench for me please? Mine are 50miles away... RE: Width of rear bench? - Toms306 - 15-12-2014 Are they not split 70/30 in Rallyes? I'll measure mine tomorrow if no-one else has. RE: Width of rear bench? - 1616six - 15-12-2014 Can't you put the rear bench upright against the seats? Paisley freight will courier a full interior for £59.99 if not. Tbh I'm surprised they even fitted rear seats, think of all the weight they could've saved! ![]() RE: Width of rear bench? - Ben - 15-12-2014 (15-12-2014, 04:20 PM)Toms306 Wrote: Are they not split 70/30 in Rallyes? Was thinking they might then be too high, which is why I wanted the measurement. Need to get the guy to find out what dimensions are allowed with his courier. If not I'll suggest Paisley, thanks for that. RE: Width of rear bench? - Dum-Dum - 15-12-2014 Surely it would of been easier to just go out and measure it? RE: Width of rear bench? - cully - 15-12-2014 Lmao @ DumDum (15-12-2014, 04:02 PM)Ben Wrote: I have been asked by an eBayer if I'd blah blah skim reading fail much chris?? In 2 hours he could of driven and done it ![]() RE: Width of rear bench? - cully - 15-12-2014 they must be the same size as the std 70/30 splits just lighter ? RE: Width of rear bench? - Toms306 - 15-12-2014 And wasted a tenner of fuel... ![]() Edit - I assume theyre the same width as 3dr seats combined, as said I'll check mine but it wont be this evening lol. RE: Width of rear bench? - Dum-Dum - 15-12-2014 Yeah they do weigh f*ck all when you flip the base up you can feel the difference whereas the meridian split leathers would drop with a thud the rallye base kinda floats down. EDIT: So I've hopped out and measured it for you and its 130cm wide Surprisingly it weighs 7.78kg but both bits of the lower half of a GTi6 beam only weigh 7.54kg between them. I suspect I might need to put the dehumidifier in the car. RE: Width of rear bench? - Dum-Dum - 15-12-2014 You can get double wide pallets, there is some kicking around by me outside the pub. Personally I'd stand them up on their ends/sides as I assume you are going to stack the seats in a L7 position on the pallet so they would stand beside. Each to their own I guess! ![]() RE: Width of rear bench? - Ben - 15-12-2014 That's good to know. I'll have a search at work and see if I can find any. RE: Width of rear bench? - 306carter - 16-12-2014 How far are they going? Sometimes cheaper to get a van to collect via Shiply. Pallet delivery is between £40 - £75. RE: Width of rear bench? - Ben - 16-12-2014 One of the guys is in Scotland so a few hundred miles. Not sure where the other is. Don't know if I've got time to package them anyway, if no one wants to collect them I might wait til the new year to sell. |
