High pressure fuel pipe - Mr_Nuclear - 09-12-2014 Hi all, Haynes says to replace the high pressure Fuel pipes if they are slackened or removed. Is this really necessary? RE: High pressure fuel pipe - Eeyore - 09-12-2014 In what case? Just generally? Or have you done a specific mod that needs to to be replaced? If you are going to replace them you need to get the right standard of fuel line. RE: High pressure fuel pipe - Mr_Nuclear - 09-12-2014 I've taken the head off, the people that skimmed the head removed the injectors slightly and I removed the pipe that connects to the fuel rail as I left that attached to the head. RE: High pressure fuel pipe - pro_steve - 09-12-2014 I usually re-use them, never had a leak before. RE: High pressure fuel pipe - Ruan - 09-12-2014 Theoretically you should replace them every time they get removed due to the massive pressure they are under, but everyone I know has re-used them and never had an issue... RE: High pressure fuel pipe - Poodle - 09-12-2014 I've always reused them, never had a leak. RE: High pressure fuel pipe - DeeTurbo - 09-12-2014 As long as you seat the pipes correctly you will normally be ok. The pipes are flared at the end and are crushed when first used to seal. RE: High pressure fuel pipe - sweeney1987 - 03-01-2015 Peugeot say to replace them too but in practice this only happens if they start leaking, if it does worry then RE: High pressure fuel pipe - Mr_Nuclear - 03-01-2015 I didn't change it, its not leaking so all's well. |
