re-fitting cylinder head - Mr_Nuclear - 07-12-2014

Hi all,

Separately to my HG question, when it comes to re-fitting the head to the block, obviously I'm going to clean the top face of the block, but haynes talks about cleaning the pistons too, this seems rather pointless and overkill, i was just thinking about blowing the combustion chambers out with an airline?

Thoughts please

Can do, completely unecessary mind.

Just a note; you don't really need to start a new thread every time for a related issue, clogs things up and makes it difficult to keep track.

I wouldn't if they are still fitted. If you get shit down the wall into the rings it could cause probs later on...
