So in the pursuit of tuning the ZR I'm fiddling with the ecu however I am worried about knock etc when advancing the timing
Since the k series doesn't have a knock sensor it's been suggested to me to use det cans
Anyone used them before? they look simple enough and people rave about them but are they good enough for home tuning?

ive used these! well a m8 had a set for mapping on the rollers
i plugged a second set of cans onto the amp and it was suprising what you could hear
his set up you could tune the frequency then you could listen to different parts of the engine
it was interesting to listen to the det im sure if youve never used a set before you will have no idea who or what to listen fore as all you hear is efectivly tunned whitenoise
