Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 22-10-2014 I need a Reinz head gasket for the 2.1 I know they exist but I cant find anyone to sell me one or any in stock in places!! Can anyone help!? 61-33655-20 I believe thats the Reinz part number for it RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - welshpug - 22-10-2014 I know GSF do the reinz gti6 gasket, so I;d try them for the diseasel too. not many places specifically stock gaskets these days, they all order in typically from ferraris piston services who are a trade only supplier. RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 22-10-2014 Thanks mate, will make some calls in the AM! RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - 306Dan - 22-10-2014 http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/171145853727?nav=SEARCH Another shout on Gsf I got my 1.9 gaskets from them, they had to be ordered in tho so a two day wait RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - akuma406 - 23-10-2014 That are looking for? http://www.autorecambiosstore.es/reinz/junta-culata-7441307 http://www.repuestosauto.es/7441310 http://www.recambioscoche.es/reinz-7441306.html RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Jonny81191 - 23-10-2014 I'll make a couple of calls, fairly sure it won't be a problem. Drop me a message so I don't forget... RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 I dont think they can be had for less than £48-50 a piece. May just get an elring, at least I got some size choices then RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - welshpug - 23-10-2014 odd the diesel one costs more than the gti6. RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 Rang two places and they wanted £66+vat :-0 RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Midnightclub - 23-10-2014 Same price as the ones on eBay, well.. they include VAT and delivery RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - silverzx - 23-10-2014 So it kind of pays to just ARP in the first place, save £70 on a potentially blown gasket and put toward holding it together.. Oh wait.. RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Mattcheese31 - 23-10-2014 Fix it nice or fix it twice lol sorry RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - welshpug - 23-10-2014 try south wales pistons, always been good prices. RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 Thanks those with input!!! Considering its held for 15k miles, most of which being raped, I think its done rather well!! Plus the project has turned a bit now that I dont use it everyday and rely on it, due to the mrs car. So I can hunt some more horse now! I THINK I found somewhere anyway!! RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 Nope. Looks like £66 on ebay or £48 for an elring. Or go for a payen?? Opinions?! RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Mattcheese31 - 23-10-2014 Do you think that the gasket has failed or just the studs have stretched? I would think you'd be ok with payern and the proper studs but can't blame you for wanting to give it the best RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 HG has gone too. Usually if the head lifts it will return to normal at least for a while. But since sunday its all over the place. Couple I know have used Payen, and thats what is fitted now RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - welshpug - 23-10-2014 Payen are o.e.m gaskets. RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 That be why it failed then RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - welshpug - 23-10-2014 errr, nope RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - darrenjlobb - 23-10-2014 Nothing wrong with an OE gasket, just as good as a VR..... RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Niall - 23-10-2014 Payne are VERY good gaskets but if you're adamant on having a VR one, find some engine building shops and ask them. I find the likes of normal factors struggle to get particular makes for certain things as they only use a limited amount of suppliers but the engine builders around here seem to be able to source everything everyone else can't! RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - darrenjlobb - 23-10-2014 Yeah, I get mine directly from the local engine machine shop, where i get heads skimmed / bores honed out etc, they will only sell quality items, which 99% of the time ar VR anyway RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - welshpug - 23-10-2014 same here, hence my recommendation of South Wales pistons if nobody closer can sort you out, I built an 8v 205 engine earlier this year using ACL and King bearings, SWP charged me half the price my local motorfactor wanted, they both use FPS but as a member of the pubic you can't go direct to FPS. RE: Reinz head gasket...anyone in the trade? - Piggy - 23-10-2014 My 'local' engineering place I am not on friendly terms like I used to be in Hereford. £120 skims for instance, not a tenner and some beers like it used to be! All ordered now anyhow from a company in Newquay of all places. |
