Fanimolds are completely different iirc, won't work.

This was more popular "back int' day" when 306s were worth more than loose change and GTi6 XU engines held values of £800+ ancilliaries.

It was a cheap conversion from a 406 I think, 150bhp standard? Easily tweaked to 220bhp from memory. 8v head as mentioned, however not a bad car if/when it works. I imagine those vacuum hoses and complex array of piping would eventually piss off your average DIY spanner monkey however, when the same power can be made more reliably from a common VAG 20V lump.
