cully's Battered D Turbo Daily - cully - 06-10-2014 have been looking but nothing around but just by chance on Saturday I saw this on the side of the road with a for sale in it, but by the time i went back it had gone! but I tracked it down and have just bought it april 2001 HDI Dturbo 130kmiles 10 months MOT taxed till November completely std car needs some bits to make it nice but nothing large, only bits of plastic and a wash so how much did i pay?............. [attachment=19406] RE: new purchase for Daily use - 1616six - 06-10-2014 Why not keep the estate?! RE: new purchase for Daily use - Piggy - 06-10-2014 So you sell a perfectly decent practical daily which you have known for years... To buy a less practical 3dr HDi which you dont know from Adam?! Seems a bit mad!? And how much did you pay....£450? RE: new purchase for Daily use - cully - 06-10-2014 cause its cheaper to by a replacement than to keep the estate on the road + the estate should pay for this one when it sells RE: new purchase for Daily use - Toms306 - 06-10-2014 Taxed till November? Umm... I'd guess about £650 for it tbh. RE: new purchase for Daily use - Orta - 06-10-2014 A £140 tax 3 door. Exactly what I might be after soon. £500ish? RE: new purchase for Daily use - 1616six - 06-10-2014 Pointless purchase is pointless. Unless you got it MEGA cheap, I fail to see how it would have cost more to fix the HDI considering your WIW post makes it sound pretty good? This sounds like man maths. RE: new purchase for Daily use - mikey b - 06-10-2014 Car looks pretty clean not bad buy how did you buy it with tax thort you can't buy with tax any more ?? RE: new purchase for Daily use - Piggy - 06-10-2014 Unless there is tax to run which was purchased prior to the 1st Oct I believe RE: new purchase for Daily use - 1616six - 06-10-2014 (06-10-2014, 12:19 PM)Piggy Wrote: Unless there is tax to run which was purchased prior to the 1st Oct I believe Nope, not even then. Only way to keep the existing tax would be to fraudulently backdate the V5... RE: new purchase for Daily use - Matt-Rallye - 06-10-2014 Looks tidy Im jealous of your Y reg hdi though! tax dodger! RE: new purchase for Daily use - cully - 06-10-2014 the v5 /receipt would of been backdated but there's no tax on it and hasn't been from September good job i checked, so feck backdating it now not gona collect all the speeding fines and stuff RE: new purchase for Daily use - cully - 06-10-2014 Aircon and sunroof too good job as as std the ac dont work RE: new purchase for Daily use - Eeyore - 06-10-2014 £400? new purchase for Daily use - Frosty - 06-10-2014 Looks alright tbf, duno why everyone is saying it's pointless purchase as people do change there cars as they fancy a change! I would say around the £500 mark RE: new purchase for Daily use - cully - 06-10-2014 £500 on the drive sorned as we speak first wash done came up surprisingly well [attachment=19423] RE: new purchase for Daily use - Eeyore - 06-10-2014 youre such a 306 whore... now give me the estate.... or at least the drivers side wing! RE: new purchase for Daily use - Toms306 - 06-10-2014 First job...replace that front plate! [attachment=19424] RE: new purchase for Daily use - kernow_joe - 07-10-2014 I thought this was the one I was looking at, nice array of 306s there. What's happened to the estate? RE: new purchase for Daily use - cully - 08-10-2014 no im not, no,no ,no im not going to mod it! OK maybe a little RE: new purchase for Daily use - cully - 01-11-2014 well its the first of November so time to tax this car and start using it as a daily, filled it with fuel and went for a drive....how disappointed i am in this car compared to the estate this car in std form is so numb and lifeless it needs a good kick up the arse! jobs done so far Decat single backbox stainless catback Blanked EGR boost gauge oil filter change Taxed Driven this car is going to get a stg 1+ tune from jammapic only seems fair as ive tried maps from whippy and Pro-steve. so if this dont liven the car up abit i dont know what will watch this space [attachment=19869] [attachment=19870] [attachment=19871] [attachment=19872] RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - Toms306 - 01-11-2014 They are pretty bad standard tbf, stage 1 does make them driveable lol...but obviously still won't be anywhere near the Rallye that you've probably got used to now! RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - Piggy - 01-11-2014 The 206hdi I just got has some low dowm poke...but it puffs out quite quickly...hoping the stg1 will help that too!! What stg was your estate at mate? RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 01-11-2014 (01-11-2014, 09:43 PM)Piggy Wrote: What stg was your estate at mate? The estate was at a stg 1 tune so the new car should liven right up at stg 1+ as its the same ECU code and year RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 03-11-2014 HMMM i have an issue since filling up with diesel the tank seems to be dripping diesel need to go out and syphon the tank out and check the filler elbow joints oh and its on a jammapic stg 1+ map which has livened the girl up somewhat cant believe how quiet this car is to drive compared to the estate RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - Matt-Rallye - 04-11-2014 (03-11-2014, 05:26 PM)cully Wrote: HMMM i have an issue since filling up with diesel the tank seems to be dripping diesel Mine was doing this with the previous owner (Razorback Rob) Turned out the high pressure line from the tank had a small split in it which was leaking down the side of the tank, noticed it had been rubbing against the return line and worn that also so replaced* them both did have to drop the tank but thats only 3-4 bolts *Bodged Cars looking very tidy! looks like you had a brucey bargain RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 04-11-2014 mine looks to be leaking from the breather off the top of the tank to the filler neck probably leaking cause i brimmed the tank and the breather looks to be a fixed pipe to the top of the tank which is a bit of a but hole if it is RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - Matt-Rallye - 04-11-2014 Yeah that's all one unit, easiest way to check is to get someone to turn the ignition on while you have a look. Mine started pissing out when the pump primed RE: cully's D Turbo Daily use - cully - 04-11-2014 while i was looking for my fuel leak seamed wrong not to give a little protection [attachment=19909] [attachment=19910] |
