Hdi no start - happypug - 21-09-2014
Hi all, mine is a shit sunday so far. Come to use car this am, will not start. Would I be correct in assuming it`s the lift pump? I have had intermittent start probs for a while now i.e having to turn ignition on and off for lift pump to prime. The last few days there has been a loud noise coming from lift pump I presume? It will not fire at all, was ok yesterday. Anyone else with similar probs, your help please.

Sounds pretty conclusive, yeah. Lift pump is under the back seats, i'm guessing that's where the noise has been coming from.

They are pretty easy to change if you get another one...I did mine last winter on the side of the road at about 11pm using the torch on my phone!
