has any one tried these out yet?

I know everyone inc my self have had the normal paddle design but I am trying to avoid the issues piggy is having and this seams a good alternative? im going to try and shoot for a discount as im having a few clutches from them for various carsso worth as shot ? or just go for a normal paddle clutch?

Only issue with that one is it's only guaranteed to hold 240 lb.ft give or take

I thought that but if you look at there other clutches are only rated to 40% the same as that one so should technically be the same ? lol

Generally the less paddles (iirc), the more outright torque it can hold.. so I can't see one with 8 paddles holding the same as say a 4 paddle.. although, they do state in the description, you might not even get an 8 paddle, it might be a 5 paddle.
From seeing what people have posted recently, I'd be staying away from CG tbh, clutches lasting 2000 miles is piss poor.

ive had cg stuff before never had issues personally but I always bedded them in correctly ect only ever had one paddle for a dt tho other cars were petrols not that it makes a difference.
ive been told they have supposedly started to use better quality products aswell.

How many people are having issues like Piggy though? I had an unsprung 4 paddle, drove it daily, had no issues at all. Obviously it was a bit biteyer than an OEM one but you gotta expect that. I know frosty had issues but wasnt he sceptical as to whether he had it the right way round? Or did he solve that? Would you be buying the full kit from CG? Or just a paddle and using an OEM pressure plate?

Yeah I had issue with mine wearing down to the rivets after only 2000/3000 miles. I can't be 100% sure but I reckon I must of had it the right way. Epically after seeing a few others seeming to have issues with the CG clutches as well makes me think there is an issue with them.
Mark fitted a 4 paddle unsprung in his 206 at the same time as I did and he don't seem to of had any issue.
I had my paddle clutch fitted with a brand new valeo pressure plate

Toms clutch was my old one...that was the fourth engine it was on..and still held chronic torque...wayyyyy more than rated...and it was given death....for what you pay you can't go wrong...anything else is double the price and even that's questionably better..2-3k? Mine was given death and managed 5k and still going as strong as day I bought it but now in that 205...you get what you pay for...there cheap clutch's....so IMO...you get a lot more than you pay for

I use an equivalent 4 paddle unspring which was about £140 brand new, thats identical the one one darren had, again real simply just 4 buttons on each side on some sprung steel with a spline in the middle. Hardly any judder and holds heaps of torque.
