Oval'd hub - puglove - 03-07-2014

For those of you that have experienced the joys of an oval'd hub on your 306, Have did you have any off the 2 following symptoms

1. clunking rom lock to lock whilst static ?

2. wheel wobble at speed ( like an un balanced wheel) ?

RE: Oval'd hub - Niall - 03-07-2014

Clonk on pulling away and sharp braking. Lock to lock when static sounds to me like top mount bearing
Wheel wobble at speed will be either badly balanced wheel (they are a bastard to balance Clones) or a bad drive shaft.

Cyclones aren't hard to balance, they just cba usually lol. The guy at ATS has got mine spot on every time.

i thought some clonking from turning was top mount recently till I found the p bush bolt that retains the ARB bush clamp wasnt quite tight enough, clonk gone.

I still have a tiny bit of wheel wobble even after lots of rebalancing and swapping spacers.

you running spacers arent you Jamie? Normally an ovaled hub will just keep coming lose on the ball joint

I know its not Pbushes , spacers, or wheels. So im getting my hands on a drive shaft today. And i should have some top mount bearing at peugeot by tue
