Stereo wiring problem - Saddlebags - 02-07-2014
I bought a new cd player and fitted it in the car but theres only sound coming from the sub not the speakers!!!
I had an old cd player in worked fine the old cd player had cables with it (blue,white x2 ,grey x2 ,purple x2 ,green x2,black ect
So with the new cables i got the the cd player i just put the cables togher the same
E.g
white and white together
White/black and white/black together
So on and so on so basically all the cables are one big long one
The cd player works but only pushes sound out of the sub instead of the front and rear speakers aswell
Ive tried swapping cables like green to white cables purple to white done everything carnt figure it out can anyone help please

Can I assume you had sound from the other speakers before changing the headunit?

Yes all speakers worked fine
The new cd player came with the wires but no connecter in the end
My old cd player had a connecter on the end of the wires
So i left that the old wires on cut the connecter that goes into the cd player
Then with my new wires (same colours as old wires) just put same coloured wires together
If that makes sense lol
But now only getting sound from the sub so confusing lol

Check the internal amp is turned on on CD player
What brand and model number is it?
