quick guide
how to get fuel out of a pumped supplyed car with no aftertaste Big Grin

based on the HDI but the principle is the same for derv or perv

steps..

1. locate fuel supply pipe in engine bay disconnect fitting and fit rubber syphon hose place end of hose into drum

2. Leave ignition OFF! remove tank bung under rear seats unplug pump supply cable

3. connect battery charger across terminals P+ and P- **CAUTION DONT SHORT OUT THE SENDER CONNECTIONS**

4. turn on battery charger fill drum

5. turn off power to stop pump pumping

6. enjoy your fruits

I was really lazy when syphoning off fuel from my sedan that went to scrap ...took off the return pipe from the bosch and just ran the engine, haha. Only took 5 minutes to empty about 35L

There's a fuse under the bonnet you can short to do this, artless there is on the expert van

Heh I do this all the time, by far the easiest way to move fuel, we do this out field all the time when one car runs up, just top up from the other Tongue

I didnt think of that, I just keep turning the ignition on and off so it keeps pumping through
