Engine mounts - ginge191 - 18-06-2014 Anyone recommend decent engine mounts. Looking to replace two upper mounts by eBay has sweet FA. Or anyone got any upgraded mounts they want shifting? RE: Engine mounts - Grant - 18-06-2014 Baker, or Vibratechnics get my vote. Never had personal experience with Vibra, but heard good things. Have bakers in mine ATM and they are spot on. Enhanced the throttle response nicely. Don't vibrate too much either RE: Engine mounts - ginge191 - 18-06-2014 Will have a look into those mate, cheers! Looked at Baker bm and they do a whole kit for £88, Not too shabby! Re: Engine mounts - kentiiboii - 18-06-2014 I got baker bm top mount and gear box mount with a powerflex lower mount! Couldn't recommend them enough! I have a baker bm lower mount but not fitted yet as it needs to be pressed in but the powerflex just slides in with a little lube! RE: Engine mounts - miles - 18-06-2014 Always use Vibra now without any issue's, the top one has a larger surface than the std type too which helps engine movement but really for a road car a uprated lower one is all you need with new OE top mounts as the engine is just supported by those, really the engine needs another mount the gearbox side RE: Engine mounts - cully - 18-06-2014 as miles says vibra tec lower and std tops with a chocked engine cradle steddied mine no end its a joy to drive now |
