Find your local hill climb club and check their rules. There isn't alot of regulation on beginners stuff but a nearly standard 306 wont be very fast.

It can be a relatively cheap form of motorsport

I remember seeing a guy at Prescott turn up and use his BMW M5 Touring on the hill...pretty much anything goes.

Where about's are you?
But the go motorsport is a handy place for info, The most expensive part is your equipment, Helmet, Suit, Gloves, Boot's etc are well over a grand alone for new.
Mine's far from std, but I have taken the class championship the last 2 years on the run. Clio's are the most painfull opponent in std form.

Around your way you have more sprints, there's North Weald, Heathel (Lotus test track), Snet. Borough 19 car club and the ASEMC are the ones to look for, done a few of there events as it's all pretty flat around your way

This is one at North Weald
