Alarm query Cabrio - jakeshah - 12-06-2014

Hi,

Was wondering about the alarms in the 306's. I have the button on the steering wheel cowling that I haven't yet touched due to lack of knowledge.

I opened the boot with the key accidentally while the rest of the car was locked and the hazards flashed at me but there was no sound. Should there have been? And is there likely to be an issue with the alarm as a result of this?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Probably the sounder unit dead. Its located in behind the passengers wing

Cheers, is it accessed from the bonnet and is there a way to check whether it is defective or not before changing?

99% sure your alarm siren is dead. If you whip the arch liner out from the passenger front wheel arch, you will see it behind the bumper. Best thing to do is get one from a 206 as they are in a different place and don't suffer water damage like the 306 ones.

Lovely, thanks for your help! Where is it located on a 206? Might be taking a trip to the scrappies soon Smile

This is good to know as mine doesnt make any noise.

Quick question... when I put my alarm on my headlights will flash. They flash a few times, stop and then flash again a few more times.
Why is it doing this?
