greasy marks - Joe - 25-03-2012 how do you get greasy finger prints off white paint work, they wont wash off not even with tfr..... any ideas? Re: greasy marks - declantg - 25-03-2012 Use a sponge and spend a lot of time on it I had this with my saxo Re: greasy marks - Scott - 25-03-2012 A clay bar should get it off Re: greasy marks - samass - 25-03-2012 clay or polish Re: greasy marks - giblets - 26-03-2012 I know a couple of people whose kids have touched the paintwork with sunscreen on, seems to have permamently damaged the paintwork, but looks like like light coloured greasy fingerprints. Apparently things like Titanium oxide in the sunscreen cause accelerated ageing. A more aggressive polish will be required. Re: greasy marks - Curt - 27-03-2012 Polish or cutting compound and then some wax to protect Re: greasy marks - Joe - 27-03-2012 yeah ive done it now... i mopped the whole car yesterday to get all the marks off.... i'll polish it asap lol, i only had time to polish the bonnet but even that looks ace Re: greasy marks - mark_airey - 27-03-2012 Joe Wrote:yeah ive done it now... i mopped the whole car yesterday to get all the marks off.... i'll polish it asap lol, i only had time to polish the bonnet but even that looks ace One way to cure the problem I guess, get some pics up Re: greasy marks - Toms306 - 27-03-2012 Lol...I always end up with these all over the door and bonnet, they seem to wash off if you dont leave them too long I find though. This would work, it would however also remove the paint as well as the marks Re: greasy marks - Connor - 27-03-2012 Only if you leave it overnight... |
