changing the tax class of my car - willJspears - 26-05-2014 ive got a little querie and not sure anyone else has any info. basically, my car is ready to go on the road as of the 1st of june (insurance wise), and have yet to tax the car, however the tax class on the v5 is disabled (only just realised this when i went to tax my car online earlier). obviously i need to change the tax class as i am not disabled. so, my question is, can the tax class be changed there and then if i was to go to the post office? or do i have to send the v5 off to get it changed. bit of a bugger as i really need my car road legal as of next week. ive searched online but havnt found a direct answer. any help is greatly appreciated, cheers RE: changing the tax class of my car - Danny2009 - 26-05-2014 Not sure if you can tax it at post office with it been disabled Go to your local dvla office they will get the ball rolling for getting it swapped and should be able to tax it there and then RE: changing the tax class of my car - Dum-Dum - 27-05-2014 (26-05-2014, 11:16 PM)Danny2009 Wrote: Not sure if you can tax it at post office with it been disabled Didnt the DVLA close its local offices? Anyway this is the link you need https://www.gov.uk/exchange-tax-disc RE: changing the tax class of my car - willJspears - 27-05-2014 Yeah, pretty sure dvla closed their offices a year or two ago. ive got to go to the post office to post a package anyways so I'll take my details in and see Wasson, if not I'll have to pick a form up and get it changed that way |
